Emergency Care
If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Show your AmeriHealth Caritas Florida ID card. Call your PCP and AmeriHealth Caritas Florida as soon as you can. You do not need a prior authorization to go to the emergency room.
You are always covered for medically necessary emergencies. An emergency medical condition is a situation in which your life could be threatened, or you could be hurt permanently if you don’t get care right away. If you are pregnant, this includes you and your unborn baby.
